INTO THE OCEAN is a rock band consisting of four musicians.

INTO THE OCEAN is an idea that began in 2008. What was meant to be a
solo, project evolved into a band that aims to cross the boundaries of a
particular genre or style, and present a message of hope to all types
of audiences. In 2009, the band self-produced and released their first
record entitled After the World Came Undone. They are currently working
on a new EP entitled Daybreak due to release
...in the spring.
Where After the World Came Undone was a record about discovering who
you are, and what your purpose is in this world - and how that purpose
fits in with the bigger plan that has been marked out for each and
everyone of us, Daybreak aims to take the listener through the journey
of unlocking that potential in a real-world setting.
The first
track "Run Away" speaks of an awakening within our own hearts, and
presents a challenge to approach life with confidence and boldness. "We
are not meant to live in fear. We all have the freedom to make a
difference in this world, but it starts with us becoming fearless. That
is what the challenge of this song is. It paints a picture of the
mystery of life, and how embracing the heart of God--with faith--can
bring clarity", says band front-man Nando Herrera.
The next
song, in the journey - "Never Let You Go" - is all about being able to
trust in God even when things seem difficult. It presents a simple
solution to overcoming life's obstacles, and that is simply standing
firm in the faith that the people of God should have. It is in that
faith that the song challenges us to move forward into a new place.
Track 3 - and the band's first single from the EP - is called"Miracles
in the Sky"; and it aims to paint a picture of the shadows of life, and
how they can be used for the gain of man; how they can be used to remind
each and everyone of us that there is something beautiful on the other
side. It explores the idea that the shadows very existence is realized
due to the fact that there is a light on the other side. This song
plants a seed of hope for every person doubting that hope exists.
The fourth song: "Daybreak" is a song about the battle against
ourselves. "This song uses an interesting metaphor describing time and
agenda as our greatest rival. When you listen to this, you will hear
some interesting metaphors about time, and how as the clock ticks and we
'grow' in one area, we actually lose in another. We are not bound by
time. Our love does not have a time limit, and we should strive to
activate it at every moment. Our dreams shouldn't be contained by the
amount of seconds in the day. And you will hear that struggle within the
rhythm of the song when you try to count it. We had fun with the rhythm
of this one," says Nando.
The last song on the EP is one that
speaks of brokenness, and it was born out of moments of doubt and
questions, which are things we all face - even after we think we have
life figured out. This song aims to remind the listener that we don't
need to embrace that negativity, but hold on to the new and great things
life give us every day, and the joy we find when we walk in our purpose
with confidence.
This record explores many new areas that the
last one did not. The theme is all about the hope that exists and
shines bright and faithful like rising sun, and it truly shows in every
song. The singer closes with this statement: "I think every person that
listens will be able to hear the heartbeat of this project, and catch a
glimpse of our heart--and what God's plan for our lives could look like.
We all hope you are blessed by this project, and we hope it inspires
you to want to walk in that hope that is bigger than ourselves, and
share it with other people around you.
